The Spark, an umbrella project of La Fenice, was organized summer of 2024 to provide hands-on production, design and performance training for Austin area teens. These young artists selected their first production together and learned the ropes of budgeting, negotiating artist, venue and royalty agreements, and preproduction. ​Throughout the rest of the year, they participate in Conservatory-level theatre, mask and movement training as well as mentorship from award winning designers and producers.

All of this work culminates in a production selected/devised, produced, designed and performed by teens.
